THE TANJELOFF IMPACTCORP.

Privacy Policy

Effective July 10, 2026

This policy explains what The Tanjeloff Impact Corp. ("we", "us") collects on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account information you give us: your name or group name, email address, password (stored only in securely hashed form by our authentication provider), account type, and your anonymity preference. Giving records: the date, amount, and type of each gift credited to your account, including gifts made in your name by others. Technical information: essential cookies that keep you signed in, and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type collected by our hosting providers to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To operate your donor account and show you your giving, your share of the endowment, and the care your giving has funded. To display the community leaderboard and fundraiser pages according to your anonymity choice. To send service emails such as sign-in confirmations, and, when enabled, gift receipts for your tax records. To meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

What we share, and what we never do

We do not sell or rent your personal information, ever. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, currently our hosting provider (Vercel), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), and, when online giving is enabled, payment processors who handle your payment details directly under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Organization and its donors. If you choose not to be anonymous, your name and giving totals appear publicly on the leaderboard, and on any fundraiser page your gifts were made through.

Payment information

We do not collect or store card numbers or bank credentials on this site. Online payments are handled by dedicated payment processors; wires go directly to the Organization's bank.

Retention

We keep donation records for as long as tax and nonprofit accounting law requires, even if you later close your account. Account details not needed for legal purposes are deleted on request.

Your choices

You can switch "Appear as Anonymous" on or off at any time from your account or the leaderboard. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to the retention rules above, by emailing nicholas@thetanjeloffimpact.org. Essential sign-in cookies are required for accounts to work; we do not use advertising cookies.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and changes

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and row-level access controls so donors can only see their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password. We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
